ProCo - Turbo RAT
ProCo Turbo RAT Distortion Pedal - 1989 - Serial RT-128817
Early USA-made ProCo Turbo RAT, produced in Kalamazoo, Michigan with pot codes dating to 1989, the first year of Turbo RAT production. This example is fitted with the desirable LM308N op-amp, used in early RAT pedals before later OP07 versions.
The Turbo RAT uses a modified silicon-diode clipping stage compared with the standard RAT, producing higher output and a more aggressive distortion character while retaining the classic Distortion, Filter and Volume controls.
Features an internal Woodcutter assembler sticker, identifying the ProCo technician who assembled the pedal during early US production. Powered by 9V battery or standard centre-negative 3.5mm 9V DC supply.
